2026-2027 Policy Competitions

For this competition, student will work in teams to design a policy proposal addressing a challenge relevant to U.S. foreign policy and international affairs. In teams of four, students will conduct research and develop a short presentation proposing a solution to the designated topic. Groups will present their proposals during the competition on Thursday, October 15th. We will be joined by an employer partner, who will provide feedback on the proposals and select the winning team. This is a great opportunity to build policy research, analysis, and presentation skills while networking with employer partners!

In small groups, students will conduct research and develop a short presentation proposing a solution to the designated topic. UChicago’s Impact Competition is a case competition that allows students to brainstorm effective solutions for the most pressing issues affecting the communities they live in. The case competition is open to all undergraduate students. After submitting an Executive Summary, students will compete in the final round which involves in-person presentations in front of a panel of judges. We will be joined by a partner who will provide feedback on the proposals and select the winning team. This is a great opportunity to build policy research, analysis and presentation skills while networking with employer partner!
