Richmond Scholars Program

Sponsored by the George E. Richmond Foundation, Richmond Scholars provides financial support to students pursuing substantive summer experiences related to oral health with an understanding that oral health as inseparable from whole-person health. Scholars receive a $5,000 stipend to pursue a summer research experience or internship on topics such as dental medicine, oral health equity, and the gut microbiome. Following their summer experience, Scholars present their work at symposium on campus during their first two weeks of the fall quarter.

Funding is also provided to Fellows who wish to attend oral health-related conferences, such as the Santa Fe Group meeting, after their summer internship.
