2027 Immersion Programs
The AI in Finance Forum brings together senior practitioners from across finance and technology for a full day of conversation on how AI is reshaping the industry — from trading and credit analytics to investment banking and workforce transformation. Students and industry professionals are invited to attend, engage directly with leaders at the forefront of this shift, and be part of a community driving the future of finance forward.
Each day of this program will focus on a different sub-sector of finance: asset management, publics investing, private investing, and investment banking through technical training, recruiting guidance, and networking opportunities.
This program will introduce students to careers in finance in London. Students will gain an overview of the London finance recruiting process, hear from industry professionals, and have opportunities to network with employers and prepare for next steps to recruit.
This program will introduce students to careers in investment banking, with an overview of the role of the analyst, core foundational skills, and the investment banking recruiting process. Students will have opportunities to network with employers in New York City and prepare for next steps to recruit.
The UChicago Private Markets Program is a one-week immersive academic and career-oriented program to educate students in private markets through theory, cases, and modeling workshops. It positions them to pursue professional opportunities in private equity, private credit, family capital and private markets investing, and investment banking.
This experience will provide students with an introduction to key concepts in restructuring, including debt, equity, and both in-court and out-of-court restructuring. It will be foundational for programming in students’ sophomore and junior years to prepare them for roles in restructuring. To participate, students must be members of the Restructuring Finance Program.
This program is designed to introduce students to careers in financial markets and trading. Day one will focus on foundational trading concepts, along with an introductory trading simulation and overview of common trading firms. Days two and three will feature workshops and employer sessions that explore different areas of trading. We will also discuss how to build a recruiting plan, including timelines to expect and application materials to prepare. The program will conclude on day four with a networking event and an advanced trading simulation.
This program will serve as an introduction to venture capital investing and the start-up funding lifecycle, from angel investing to IPO. Students will explore how venture capital firms source, evaluate, and structure investments.
