Four‑day Consulting Career Intensive designed to prepare students for careers across strategy, management, and business consulting. Featuring firm-led sessions, the program will focus on core consulting skill‑building—including problem‑solving frameworks, case interview techniques, and client communication including case presentations to industry professionals.
September 21 | Hosted by EY-Parthenon
EY-Parthenon will provide students with insight into the day-to-day experience of a consultant, including how consulting teams approach client work, collaborate across projects, and navigate early-career responsibilities. This session will help students better understand what the consulting role looks like in practice.
September 22 | Hosted by Accenture
Accenture will lead students through a consulting-focused design thinking experience. Students will learn how consultants use human-centered problem solving to understand client needs, generate ideas, and develop practical solutions.
September 23 | Hosted by PwC
PwC will introduce students to core consulting toolkits while also highlighting how AI is shaping the future of consulting work. This session may include practical exposure to prompt engineering, AI-supported problem solving, research synthesis, and responsible use of AI in a consulting context.
September 24 | Hosted by L.E.K.
On this final day, L.E.K. will help students synthesize key consulting skills and ways to standout from day 1 as an incoming analyst. Students will focus on communication, executive presence, case-based thinking, and how to translate the immersion experience into stronger recruiting preparation.

The UChicago Consulting Immersion Initiative is a selective, 5-week experiential learning series designed to equip second-year students with the analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills essential for success in consulting recruiting. Sessions are led by the McKinsey team and feature a mix of instruction, peer breakout practice, and group debriefs. Students will be selected into the program by the McKinsey recruiting team.

Case Challenge for 1st and 2nd - years: Work in a team of 4-6 to tackle a real business problem – just like Bain teams do. In this multi-week case experience, selected participants will explore a live, client-style challenge, develop strategic recommendations, and present their ideas after engaging directly with members of the organization. Over 3-4 weeks in April, you’ll sharpen your problem-solving skills, collaborate closely with peers, and experience how structured thinking turns insight into impact.
The UChicago Consulting Symposium kicks off the consulting recruiting season and provides networking opportunities with leading management and economic consulting firms. The day includes an industry insights panel with senior consultants, networking, and group case simulations that are a critical step in the application process. Open to all second and third-year students.
