Lawrence A. Kimpton Fellows Program

The Lawrence A. Kimpton Fellows Program provides employment fellowships for over 200 recent graduates of the College in a wide variety of career fields. These full-time opportunities will give students the skills and experience they need to launch a fulfilling and successful career. In addition, Kimpton Fellows will be able to take advantage of mentorship opportunities and professional development resources. The program is named in honor of Lawrence A. Kimpton, who served as chancellor of the University (the title formerly used for the University’s chief executive) from 1951-1960 and championed providing robust experiences for students both inside and outside of the classroom.

Program Benefits

The Kimpton Fellows Program offers opportunities with a highly diverse range of organizations, including for-profit companies, nonprofits, government agencies, research and philanthropic institutions, educational organizations, and social service providers. Positions are paid at a salary level and benefits commensurate with the job sector, location, and a host of other variables. Fellows have special access to personalized career advising throughout their job search and their first year as alumni.

In addition to their fellowship opportunities, all Kimpton Fellows will have access to professional development resources and programming that will teach fellows how they can take advantage of their fellowship experience to pursue their long-term career goals. The nature and timing of professional development seminars will vary depending on the location and industry of the fellowship. All fellows will also have access to alumni mentors who are currently working in their field of interest.

Eligibility

Graduating fourth year students are eligible for the program. The program serves students of all majors and career interests.
