Law & Politics Program

Apply in the Spring on Handshake. Applications for the 2027-28 school year close on April 15, 2027.

The Law & Politics Program is a selective cohort for students interested in the intersection of careers in politics and the law. Selected students receive specialized advising, targeted programming, and access to speakers. The program culminates in a capstone project such as a campaign speech, issue brief, mock press conference, or debate.

Application Timeline

  • Eligibility: Rising second- through fourth-year students

  • Application Opens: March 1, 2027

  • Applications Closes: April 15, 2027

  • Offers Extended: May 1, 2027

Structure of the Program

  • Speakers: Students will engage with guest speakers through group discussion.

  • Advising: Students will receive one-on-one advising regarding next steps in pursuing a career in law and/or politics.

  • Capstone Project: Students will present an individual or small-group capstone project such as a campaign speech, issue brief, mock press conference, or debate.
