TMDSAS requires the following essays

Personal essay asks you to explain your motivation to seek a career in dentistry. Be sure to include the value of your experiences that prepare you to be a dentist. The essay is limited to 5000 characters, including spaces.

Personal characteristics essay asks you to describe your personal qualities, characteristics, skills, or strengths, and how they will contribute meaningfully to the lives of others. The essay is limited to 2500 characters, including spaces.

Optional essay allows you to briefly discuss any circumstances or experiences that are relevant to your application, which have not previously been presented. It is limited to 2500 characters, including spaces.
