Decisions will be shared with students on a rolling basis.

Student Eligibility

In order to receive 4+1 Scholars Graduate Internship funding, a student must be:

  • A graduating 4th-year UChicago College student

  • Matriculating into a UChicago master’s program through the 4+1 Scholars Program with a confirmed deposit with the program

  • Meets the admissions criteria of the master’s program

Please note that not matriculating into the UChicago master’s program through the 4+1 Scholars program after receiving funding may result in a requirement to repay the summer funding grant.

Eligible Opportunities

Unpaid internship or research opportunities for the summer between bachelor's & master’s degree are eligible for the 4+1 Scholars Graduate Internship program.

Support Identifying a Summer Opportunity

For help with identifying internships or research projects, make an individual appointment on Handshake with a Career Advancement adviser. You are also encouraged to draw on your own personal network (professors, family, friends, etc.) for help finding a summer opportunity. Career Advancement is here to support you!
